LASNETSKI GIHON LAW
helps people with cases in

Immigration, Criminal Defense, & Federal Litigation

Lasnetski Gihon Law (LGL) focuses on criminal defense, immigration, and related federal litigation. Our attorneys bring experience from both sides of the courtroom, including former criminal prosecutors, a former assistant public defender, and a former ICE attorney. With offices in Jacksonville, Altamonte Springs, and Orlando, we provide experienced legal representation while maintaining the personal attention and accessibility of a small law firm.

At LGL, we will assess your legal situation, develop a strategy and keep you informed throughout the process. When you retain us, we are only a phone call away when you have a question. Personal service is important to us and our goal is to use our big firm experience to help you with your legal needs while providing small office care to ensure you are happy with our services.

JACKSONVILLE AND ORLANDO CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEYS

Our criminal defense practice serves clients throughout Jacksonville and Orlando. In Jacksonville, Jeremy Lasnetski brings more than 20 years of criminal trial experience, including his prior service as a prosecutor. In Orlando, Hope Johnson brings over four years of experience as an Assistant Public Defender in Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit, where she represented clients in hundreds of criminal cases and gained substantial trial experience. Together, our criminal defense attorneys bring valuable perspectives and courtroom experience to defending individuals facing criminal charges throughout Northeast and Central Florida.

When you retain us for your criminal case, we will meet with you to develop a relationship. We want to know everything we can about you to help in our defense. We will have a thorough consultation where we develop all of the facts and determine your goals. We will communicate, and if appropriate negotiate, with the prosecutor. We will go to court and represent you before the judge (oftentimes allowing your appearance to be waived so you don’t have to appear). We will investigate the case, including talking to witnesses, taking depositions, and obtaining information beneficial to you. We will research legal issues and file legal motions where appropriate. We will consult with you on a regular basis about your options and what you can expect during the process. We will represent you during trial and all other proceedings in court.

At LGL, we will treat your criminal case like you are family.

JACKSONVILLE AND ORLANDO IMMIGRATION ATTORNEYS

LGL has two partners who practice immigration law. One, or both, of these partners will handle your immigration case personally. John Gihon, in our Altamonte Springs office, is a Florida Bar Board Certified Expert in Immigration and Nationality Law. He is a former Senior Attorney with ICE and has been featured on local and national news media. He is also a regular lecturer on immigration topics throughout the state. Jeremy Lasnetski, in our Jacksonville office, is the former Jacksonville Regional Vice Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Northeast Florida Chapter and has also lectured on immigration topics. Both Jeremy and John handle immigration benefit cases, including adjustment of status, fiancé visas, naturalization, change of status, and much more.

Deportation cases – LGL handles deportation cases. As a former ICE prosecutor, John Gihon brings his experience and knowledge of the deportation system to your defense. No matter where you reside, if your deportation case is in the Orlando Immigration Court, LGL can help you.

With immigration attorneys in Altamonte Springs (Orlando) and Jacksonville, LGL is well positioned to represent individuals facing removal proceedings, including those detained at the Baker County Detention Facility. Most of these cases involve deportation based on a criminal conviction. We have experienced criminal trial lawyers and a Florida Bar Board Certified Immigration and Nationality Lawyer (John Gihon) who will work to attack both the underlying criminal case and the deportation case. If you have a case involving deportation based on a criminal conviction, it is important to retain an attorney who has experience in both criminal law and immigration law. At LGL, we have two partners who are experienced in both.

When you retain LGL for your immigration case, we will draft all applications and petitions and collect all required documentation. We will explain the process to you before and during the process, so you understand everything that is happening. We will appear with you at interviews before USCIS and all court hearings before the immigration court.

At LGL, we will treat your immigration case like you are family.
